It was hot but we had a fabulous time at the ranch. Tessa, Dan B, Cole, Lucy, Peter W, Katie and Randy came together and celebrated a peaceful Labor Day.
When Randy and I arrived, the gang was down at the lake. The patio was quiet except for the loud tapping of a woodpecker. It was a pileated woodpecker, a large and colorful species that was just incredible to see. Apparently, it is a big fan of loquats!
It's truly magical being in nature and being with the whole family at Shang. In our crazy times, make sure you spend some time at Shang. It's good for the soul.
